Road Safety in School
The Riot Act
We were happy to welcome back the Riot Act with a whole new production. On this occasion, our year 5 and 6 pupils found out how to ride their bicycles to school safely and what an ABCD check is (if you are not sure, ask your child if they can tell you). To make the event even more special, the cast was joined by a 'special ' guest - that well known A-List celebrity, Sir Bradley Wheels-MacHandlebars! The very important information about staying safe when cycling was accompanied by a healthy dose of humour. The children not only enjoyed the show, but they all remembered the important messages about safe, active travel so well that they completely aced the quiz at the end.
Red Man Green Man
Years 3 and 4 were treated to a visit from the Red Man Green Man show, helping them to understand all about road safety and how to choose the best places to safely cross the road.The children enjoyed getting involved and at times, their cheers were quite deafening - always a good sign!.
